… That’s why we try to help every dog we can, in any way we possibly can. So if you haven’t found the ideal four-legged fur missile for yourself under our “available dogs” section, here’s a few courtesy listings from all around the country!
baxter, male, twentynine palms
Meet Baxter, a handsome malinois mix guy who has been in and out of the Palms n Paws Animal Shelter in Twentynine Palms, CA. Baxter is definitely a dog that needs to go to an experienced home, as he has a very high prey drive and tends to be on the dominant side as far as interactions with other dogs go. But channel all that drive and energy correctly, and you’ll have yourself a fiesty loyal companion who just might excel in the dog sporting world or at a specific job! Bruno, Male, 8 m.o, Los Angeles
Bruno is the SWEETEST 8 month old belgian malinois mix who is about to melt some hearts. He has lived with a big dog and a small dog (chihuahua), LOVES the visiting KIDS, and gets along with everyone fantastically. Initially shy, he becomes more outgoing when comfortable and will come over to ask for pets. Bruno is very playful with other dogs, super smart (after all, he is a malinoisl!), and already knows commands such as sit, down, come, stay, up, wait, and "sleepy time." For a young pup, his foster mum is impressed with how well-behaved he is! He is housebroken, crate trained, and would be a wonderful addition to any family. Bruno hopes that you will fill out an application for him - he is ready for a lifetime of adventure with you!
Scout, Female, Rancho Santa Margarita (South OC)
Scout is crate trained, potty trained, knows sit, shake, down, stay, go to your mat, leave it, off, touch, and heel sometimes. She's very excited on walks and pulls a lot on leash. We use a gentle leader when walking her to manage the pulling. We live in Rancho Santa Margarita (South OC). She has an Instagram (scout_scout_let_it_all_out) where you can see pictures and videos of her. She doesn't do well with other dogs and tends to be reactive on leash to dogs and cyclists. She would probably need to be an only dog. At home, she is very mild mannered and mostly just likes to play with toys or hang out with us. She sleeps in her crate with the door open at night.
